AT A GLANCE
Short answers hosts and guests usually want first.
Guest photos, videos, and voice notes stay tied to host event. Upload pages are not indexed by search engines.
We use information to run OnePOV, secure platform, process payments, and improve product.
We do not sell personal information or use uploaded event media to train generative AI models.
Free events retain media for 7 days. Event Pass events retain media for 30 days unless deleted sooner.
Hosts can delete events. Guests can contact host or OnePOV for privacy requests tied to uploads.
01 // information we collect
Information you give us and information we collect automatically.
We collect information you provide when you create an account, set up an event, upload photos, videos, or voice notes, contact us, or purchase an Event Pass.
This can include your name, email address, event details, uploader name, uploaded media, payment checkout details, and messages you send to us. We also collect technical data such as IP address, browser type, device information, request logs, and product activity needed to operate and secure OnePOV.
- Account data like name, email, and sign-in details
- Event data like event name, event date, guest link, QR code, and moderation state
- Uploaded content like photos, videos, voice notes, filenames, timestamps, durations, and optional uploader names
- Transaction data related to Event Pass checkout processed through Stripe
- Device, browser, network, and usage data used for reliability and abuse prevention
02 // who can see event content
Event content is private to host workflow, not public by default.
Guest upload pages require active event link information and are marked not to be indexed by search engines. Hosts can review and manage uploaded media for their own events.
Guests use upload links to submit content. OnePOV does not provide a public browse page for all guest uploads by default. Limited OnePOV personnel or service providers may access content only when needed for support, security, maintenance, or legal compliance.
- Hosts can review, moderate, export, and delete media for their events
- Guests can upload through active guest links without creating full host account
- Upload pages are set to noindex and nofollow
- We do not make event galleries public unless product flow clearly says so
03 // how we use information
We use data to run product, improve it, and keep it safe.
We use personal information to authenticate users, create and manage events, process uploads, display slideshows, handle payments, respond to support requests, and communicate important service updates.
We also use information to monitor performance, prevent fraud or abuse, enforce limits and retention rules, comply with law, and improve OnePOV features and reliability.
- Operate accounts, event links, uploads, moderation, and slideshows
- Process one-time payments for Event Pass purchases
- Detect abuse, unauthorized access, or violations of platform rules
- Analyze performance and usage to improve product experience
04 // AI, marketing, and content rights
We do not repurpose event media for AI training or marketing without permission.
Uploaded event photos, videos, and voice notes belong to users and event participants subject to rights they already hold in that content. OnePOV uses uploaded media only to provide requested product functions like storage, moderation, playback, export, and support.
We do not sell uploaded media and do not use uploaded photos, videos, or voice notes to train generative AI models. We will not use your event media in marketing materials without permission.
- No sale of personal information
- No generative AI training on uploaded event media
- No marketing use of event media without permission
05 // sharing with third parties
We share data only with vendors and parties needed to run service.
We may share information with infrastructure, storage, authentication, analytics, communications, and payment providers that help us operate OnePOV. These providers may process data on our behalf under contractual or operational restrictions.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights or safety, or as part of merger, financing, or acquisition transaction.
- Cloud hosting, storage, database, and authentication providers
- Stripe for payment processing and payment-related records
- Email or support providers used to communicate with users
- Law enforcement or regulators when legally required
06 // retention and deletion
We keep data for active service period, then delete or limit it.
OnePOV uses event-based retention rules. Free events currently retain media for 7 days. Event Pass events currently retain media for 30 days. Hosts may delete events sooner, which permanently removes event records, guest links, live screen access, and uploaded media from active systems.
We may keep limited records longer when needed for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, backups, or accounting. Backup cleanup may take additional time after deletion from active systems.
- Free Event retention: 7 days
- Event Pass retention: 30 days
- Host event deletion permanently removes active event data
- Some logs or backups may remain temporarily after deletion
07 // your choices
You can request access, updates, or deletion.
Hosts can manage core event data from their account and may delete events directly. If you uploaded media as a guest and want access or deletion help, contact event host or contact us with enough detail to identify event and upload.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or information about how your personal information is handled. We may need to verify your identity before completing request.
- Hosts can delete events from product workflow
- Guests can request privacy help by contacting host or OnePOV
- Users can opt out of non-essential emails when available
08 // security and children
We use safeguards, but no system is perfect.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information, including access controls and encrypted transport where supported. Even so, no method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
OnePOV is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without appropriate authorization. If you believe a child provided personal information to us improperly, contact us so we can investigate and remove it when appropriate.
- Reasonable security safeguards and restricted access
- No guarantee of absolute security
- Not intended for children under 13
